Alaska Spot Prawns are the largest of the cold-water species and may reach sizes of up to 9 inches long. Jumbo shrimp of this size average 21-30 count per pound. The spot prawn occurs in the northeast Pacific Ocean from southern Alaska to southern California and also in Asian waters around the Sea of Japan. They are found on rocky bottoms from the intertidal zone to over 250 fm in depth.
